Web Browsers

Your Windows PC comes with Microsoft's Internet Explorer as its default browser. Your Mac comes with Apple's Safari as its default browser. Did you know you don't have to use your computer' default browser? In fact, you can have multiple browsers on your PC or Mac, and you can use them at the same time. As an example, in Windows, I have 4 browsers, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. On my Mac, I have 2 browsers, Safari and Firefox. Why so many browsers? For security and to test things (web pages). Should you have another browser other than the default one that came on your computer? Yes! If you have Windows, Microsoft's Internet Explorer is the worst thing you can use to surf the web. Almost all viruses and spyware are written to exploit Internet Explorer's flaws (scripts). 99% of the websites you visit will work fine on these "other" browsers. So download and use another browser!
